Jennifer Lien played the Delta Quadrant native, Kes. The Ocampa help guide Captain Janeway and her crew when they first arrived in the Quadrant and stayed with the crew from then on but when he phical state threatens the crew of Voyager she had to leave and in the process, she sent the crew of Voyager 9,500 lighyears closer to space.

Jennifer Lien was born and raised in Illinois. She knew early on that she wanted to act and was encouraged by an English teacher and a drama teacher. She began performing in summer theater and festivals at the age of 13. She look on roles in Shakespare's, "The Tempest" and "Othello". At 16, Jennifer was hired by "Another World" and moved to New York to portray the newly-created character of Hannah, a misfit orphan. Jennifer Lien has also guest'voiced on "The Critic" and dubbed lines in the English version of the French Miramax film "Baby Blood".
