The main Bridge on the Intrepid-class U.S.S. Voyager, is on Deck one. All information can be accessed here. The captain and her senior officers can gain instrument and sensor data, control command functions, access the main computer, analyse situations, and take any action that seem suitable. It is the centre of action.

The Bridge is decorated in tones of silver, grey, and chrome. The control surfaces of the consoles are black with, the coloured pads on the keyboard. The onboard computers are sophisticated and trained officers can operate it with a minimum of keystrokes. One may use the circular 'joystick' pad when directional information is needed.

At the centre of the room is the command area. There, is the two most senior officers, Captain Kathryn Janeway and Commander Chakotay. The captain's chair is on the right and the first officer's chair is on the left. Whereas, on other ships, the captain's chair stands alone in the centre of the command area with other senior officers to the left and right of the captain.

In front of the command area, Captain Janeway and Commander Chakotay, is the viewscreen often used as visual communicator and the flight controller or Conn. The Conn. is placed lower so it will not block the line of sight of the captain and the first officer. On Intrepid-class starships, the Conn. is a single station arranged in a circular arc. The Conn. officer who is responsible for this Conn. station in the Voyager, is Lieutenant Tom Paris, he is responsible for helm and navigation.

The operation stations or Ops, is behind the command area and to it's to the left. It's self-contained. This station is runned by Ensign Harry Kim. The Ops reads sensors, accesses the ship's library, allocates ship's power and computer time, and coordinates the activities of the ship's departments. The Conn. and ops are located in different areas of the bridge on Intrepid-class starships. Meanwhile, on most Starfleet vessels, these two stations operate together, side by side, in front of the command area.

On the right behind the command area is the tactical station where Lieutenant Commander Tuvok is responsible for the ship's security, weapons, offensive and defensive maneuvers. It is also a self-contained station.

The Engineer station is on the right of the perimeter of the Bridge. This is where Lieutenant B'Elanna Torres, may monitor and control many of the ships engineering functions. The chief engineer on the bridge maybe needed during delicate combat, technical, or diplomatic situations. On the left of the Engineering station is the door leading to the captain's Ready room. At the back next to the Security/Tactical station is the door to the turbo-lift which gives access to other areas of the ship.

There is also a Science station at the front of the bridge. It is used to provide support to the ops position when needed. Usually this station is unmanned. To the right of the Science station is the door that leads off the bridge and to the Briefing room.
