When an aggressive alien vessel attempts to steal one of Voyager's probes, Janeway gets involved in a 'space race' to design and build a ship capable of rescuing the probe from its resting place. Torres' crewmates are alarmed when she repeatedly engages in reckless activity including orbital skydiving which threatens to destroy the captain's plans.
