Securing the ship in preparation for the onslaught of the violent stellar wavefront, the crew of USS Voyager take the chance to unwind in "Fair Haven", a nineteenth century Irish town created in the holodeck. Of all the imaginary character, Janeway finds herself strongly attracted to the enigmatic and handsome barman.

Inexorably trapped in orbit around a previously unencountered type of planet. USS Voyager's presence causes damaging seismic activity on the ground below, where time moves hundreds of times faster than normal. With the planet's inhabitants evolving at an alarming rate, the crew must escape before the ground dwellers develop the technology to destroy the Starfleet vessel.
